Holiness and Power

Without holiness, no one will see the Lord – Hebrews 12:14b

Last night, I was driving home from Bible Study in Fayetteville, and while I was driving and communing with the Holy Spirit, I heard Him say so distinctly “Holiness.”  I jostled it around in my heart for  the 20 minute drive back to our house in Stockbridge.  This morning, I woke up with that word still resounding in my spirit – “holiness, holiness, holiness…”

So, as I drove in to the office today, I simply prayed and asked the Lord what He was saying about holiness, “Lord, what is it that you are saying?”  He answered back, “Without holiness, My people will not encounter My Presence.  Without holiness, My people cannot worship me, truly.  And without holiness, My people will not have power.”

Without holiness, My people will not encounter My Presence.  Without holiness, My people cannot worship me, truly.  And without holiness, My people will not have power

As I weighed those words in my heart, I realized that we cry from our pulpit on a regular basis, “live godly lives, live holy lives, set apart for God, and live lives that are focused on full devotion to purity before Jesus.”  However, the Lord spoke to my heart and said, “re-declare it.  Say to My people, remember HOLINESS.  Write it on your heart and rediscover the power of consecration and being set apart for Me”

Today, I share with you these main points about Holiness:

  1. When we repent of our sins, asking God to forgive us of our sins, we are MADE COMPLETELY HOLY IN THAT MOMENT (1 John 1:7, 9)
  2. It is His Holiness, not ours.  Jesus, when He lived in the flesh on earth, was completely holy.  He never sinned.  He now lives in you through the manifestation of the Holy Spirit.  His Holiness is YOUR HOLINESS (2 Cor. 5:21).  Our holiness is as filthy rags before God (Isa. 64:6).  However, when we accept His Holiness, it is at that point that His holiness becomes ours, and living a life of holiness means I’m submitting to His Will, His Plans, and His Purposes, moment by moment.  I’m making decisions to allow Him to live His life through me.

Today, God is calling us to evaluate ourselves, He’s calling us to present ourselves to Him and ask Him to purify us (Romans 12:1-2).

Are you ready to go before God and allow Him to purify you?  I encourage you today, let Him, and you will begin to experience the POWER of His Holiness, and His Fire.

  1. Apostle Randy,
Very interesting the Lord would show you this also. God showed me this a month ago and told me the exact same thing re-declare Holiness. Praise God for that blog. I have posted it on facebook.

  2. The in-town homegroup discussed the topic of “…living a life set-apart” last night. Love it!!!
