Buying technologies has become a regular event for most of us. I think the Apple store has it right… They let you use their products right there in the store. It’s difficult to buy something that you have never used or seen DEMONSTRATED.
In 1 Corinthians 2:4 (KJV), the apostle Paul wrote, “My speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power.” The Greek word used for “demonstration” is “apodeixis,” which literally means “to show away” or “to manifest.”
“Talk Christianity” isn’t really Biblical Christianity. Our relationship with God should be tried, tested, and true. And when others walk into the store of our lives, they should be able to push the right buttons and see a “demonstrating Jesus.” So often people see us, but I want us to say with the apostle Paul – our conversations and ‘preaching’ will not be with man’s enticing words or man’s wisdom because our highest and best lives will never be as good as when we allow Jesus to demonstrate and function through us.
How will Jesus demonstrate???
- He will love through us
Christianity that is not LOVING is not Christianity – period. When Jesus showed His love to others He did it both verbally and with action. He will love through us with gentleness, kindness, benevolence, etc. Let Him demonstrate through you today.
- He will create a supernatural, spiritual lifestyle around us
Jesus has power and authority, and He wants to demonstrate that through us. He commissioned His disciples to “lay hands on the sick and they would recover.” He commissioned them to “cast out demons and to speak with new tongues…” When Jesus lives His life through us, we won’t be defined as “oh, they’re just religious.” Other words will be used. We will demonstrate authentic, spiritual power. We will begin to prophesy. We’ll begin to make principalities and powers and all sorts of demonic influences uncomfortable. We will begin to demonstrate a “City-Shaking Jesus.” He will be supernatural THROUGH US.
- He will live His own life through us
Galatians 2:20. We need to be aware that the Lord Jesus Christ HIMSELF wants to live His life through us. Ask Him for His help to surrender to His life that is already inside your spirit.
Today, it is demonstration time. It’s time for the world to see the Body of Christ MANIFESTED AND DEMONSTRATING THE LOVE AND PRESENCE OF JESUS IN THE EARTH
